Nicci Cattaneo is the founding member of Cattaneo Design. She is a South African Designer working both locally and abroad. Nicci endeavours to embrace the African continent, its rich culture, colour, texture, warmth and energy.

Nicci designs and creates custom signature interiors predominately incorporating furniture, textiles, lighting, art and sculpture from locally sourced suppliers, manufacturers and artists.

The integrity of each project is closely linked with location, architecture and the sense of space. Her philosophy is “Creating dynamic spaces that are a reflection of you”. Nicci’s signature projects are for high-profile local and international private clients.

Nicci gains her inspiration from travelling abroad and her passion for colour and texture is directly influenced by all tribal and cultural textiles, jewellery, sculpture and other architectural designers. However, the most amazing colour combinations are found in the natural world – fauna, flora, aquatic life, crystals and the ocean. Exotic rare birds, ancient crystals, magnificent fish, coral and shells – The oceans, the forests and blooms and blossoms in the garden.
